Sacramental Program

About the Program

Our parish Sacramental Program prepares children to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation (First Confession), First Holy Communion, and Confirmation. The program involves both children and their parents/guardians in a journey of faith formation.

Sacraments in the Program

First Reconciliation

Children learn about God's love and forgiveness and prepare to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time. This sacrament is usually celebrated before First Holy Communion.

First Holy Communion

Children are prepared to receive Jesus in the Eucharist for the first time. This is a significant milestone in their faith journey as they join the community at the Lord's table.

Confirmation

Young people are prepared to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit and complete their initiation into the Catholic Church. Confirmation strengthens the grace received at Baptism.

Who Can Enroll?

• Children who have been baptized Catholic
• Children of appropriate age (usually Year 3 or older for Reconciliation and Communion)
• Families who are registered parishioners or attending Mass regularly
• Children attending Catholic schools or parish religious education

Parent Involvement

Parents and guardians play a vital role in the Sacramental Program. As the primary educators of their children in faith, parents are expected to:

• Attend parent information sessions
• Support their child's preparation at home
• Attend Mass regularly with their children
• Participate in the sacramental celebrations

Program Schedule

The Sacramental Program runs throughout the school year. Enrollment typically opens at the beginning of the year. Specific dates and times for sessions and celebrations are announced in the parish bulletin and communicated to enrolled families.

To enroll your child in the Sacramental Program, please contact the parish office. Enrollment forms and information packs are available at the office and may also be announced through local Catholic schools.
