Welcome to Para Hills Modbury Catholic Parish and to our parish website. This site will hopefully provide you with the information you require as well as a broad overview of the many different activities that occur in our parish. This parish consists of the communities of Holy Trinity at Para Hills and St John XXIII at Hope Valley and Modbury that together form Para Hills Modbury Catholic Parish. In both of these communities you will find a warm welcome and a practical living of the Gospel in a variety of ministries and outreach to the wider community.

Welcome to the website of the Para Hills Modbury Catholic Parish. This site will hopefully provide you with all the information you need to keep you up to date while at the same time giving you a broad view of the many different activities that happen with in our parish. Our parish has two Mass Centres, the communities of Holy Trinity at Para Hills and St John XXIII at Hope Valley and Modbury.
In both of these communities you will find a warm welcome and a practical living of the Gospel as people strive to live out the Gospel in a variety of ways as they minister to the sick and reach out to the poor, the isolated or the lonely in our community.
The celebration of the Eucharist is the centre of parish life, it is from here that all ministry occurs, give community identity and bringing all into communion with God and neighbour. So, as we strive to walk in the footsteps of Jesus, we endeavour to create an inclusive community, involving as many parishioners as possible. St Paul invites each of the baptised, to bring our own special "gifts" and skills to "build up the Body of Christ". In this way, the Kingdom of God on earth becomes a reality in our midst, both now and for future generations.
Therefore, I invite you if you are new to the area, to please feel most welcome among us. If you wish to join in any of the activities that happen in our parish or if you wish to be a volunteer to help us, please feel free to contact us at the parish office. I Make my Church

My Church is composed of people like me. I help make it what it is. It will be friendly, if I am. Its pews will be filled, if I help fill them. It will do great work, if I work. It will make generous gifts to many causes, if I am a generous giver. It will bring other people into its worship and fellowship, if I invite and bring them. It will be a church of loyalty and love, of fearlessness and faith, and a church with noble spirit, if I, who make it what it is, am filled with these same things. Therefore, with the help of God, I shall dedicate myself to the task of being all the things that I want my church to be. Amen

Beware of Phishing scams
We would like to bring to your attention that there are internet scammers making attempts to collect money or gift cards pretending to be the parish priest. They create an email address in the name of the parish priest. If you have a close look at the email address you will find that the email address is not genuine even though they use the name. Please be aware that no priests or parishes will ask you to make donations or request you for help to purchase any gift cards through emails. Every collection made in the parish is announced in our Parish Bulletin. So if you receive any such emails requesting money or gift cards please ignore them and do not reply to them.

Just as we, in our families, are experiencing difficult financial times, so is our parish and it needs our continuous support so that the bills can continue to be paid as they keep coming in. Any help we can provide is very much appreciated. The process for making electronic donations to both he first collection (Clergy or Presbytery Fund) and to the second collection (Parish Fund) has been simplified. New Direct Giving App
The Find a Mass App of the Adelaide Archdiocese has been upgraded to allow us to contribute to both the first and second collections of our parish via a credit or debit card. Users of the App can make a one-off donation or set up recurring donations to our parish and for the support of the clergy. You are also able to use it to make contributions to the special collections which are held throughout the year. Be aware that your details will be securely saved for recurring donations. Search ’Archdiocese of Adelaide’ in your app store and download the app to make easy and seamless donations to our parish.
